Your first game?

Post by Juneberry »

I know it's probably a hard question, but who here remembers their first game- or, at the very least, how old they were when they started gaming? I know for me, I was around five or six when I first distinctly got into video games. I have fond memories of playing in my basement with the neighborhood boys and my cousins on my Sega. I think we mostly played sports games or Sonic. I'm not fully sure anymore. >w<

Sonic was the very first video game I ever played on the Sega Genesis back in 1994. It's still my favorite gaming franchise to date. I love the blue blur even if he's had a fair share of "bad" games. My cousins had the Genesis, and they would bring it over to my grandmother's house. (We were living there at the time.)

Sounds like a good time. XD I think the first console I played was Genesis as well.

I honestly don't remember. I do think I remember going to the store with my mom to get it. I don't think I was super old. I'm guessing maybe 5? Around there anyway.

XD It's been so long since I've actually bought a game from a store.

Same. It's all online nowadays, really... I feel bad remembering how friendly I was with the local Gamestop employees ages ago.

Gamestop was never super useful to me since I've never been a big console gamer. XD
